The Dutch duo Viktor & Rolf – who would not stop to amaze us with shows still more extraordinary – just surprised the whole fashion world in renouncing their participation in the Paris fashion shows but no worries, a spring collection / summer 2009 is well and truly in the starting blocks. It will simply not available where we could have expected….
It must be said that in recent months, the duo’s most creative azimuth of the decade has been working to make some changes in the heart of his company. The latter has recently been absorbed by the group of R. Rosso (Diesel), amending the line of the brand Viktor and Rolf. First warning shot: the Milanese boutique brand that was designed completely in reverse – a wonderfully illustrating the creative humor and two accomplices – has been closed. Now it is the same parade in Paris who was dropped from the card
By signing with one of the tenors of the Italian business, Viktor and Rolf do not they risk losing a bit of cheer their freedom? Anyway, they do not seem disturbed by this development, quite the opposite: they provide for us the summer 2009 collection a unique presentation, via their website. They rejoice in fact the most democratic aspect which may be taken as bias: this season, to attend the show V & A, no need to be invited to bribe or red ties, simply connect the Oct. 2 on their site.
Viktor and Rolf do not leave the scene, but will now take a bit differently. Besides, if they have planned a return to the fashion week for next season, they will soon name can be affixed on a line of ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories…
The question is how these dandies ultra debride will reach not to lose their souls by spreading the loan-to-wear that will surely accompany a specification therefore much more than their parade. Will they find the perfect balance between madness and creative on stage diffusion line interesting? Will they have a grisly fate, has the image of the line K Karl Lagerfeld? V & R license will she overused? Only time will tell…
